Hydraulic power steering is a hydraulic device that makes the steering movement easier using oil which is put under pressure by a pump (mechanical or electrical).
The pump pushes the oil through the circuit in the power steering system, where a distributor, connected to the steering column, channels the flow of oil in one direction or the other in the chamber, making the plunger inside slide to the right or left. In this way, steering is facilitated and requires less effort on the part of the driver.
R.I.P.A.S. offers a complete replacement service for mechanical and hydraulic parts and, if neede, also electrical parts (hydraulic power steering systems with Servotronic).
Each overhauled spare part is tested on special test benches that simulate its activity in the vehicle, assessing its mechanical, hydraulic and, if needed, also electrical functioning.
